Forecast for today. Raining on course at the moment. Course is wet with some standing water. Very spongy and muddy. It has rain heavily for the past two weeks. Not like two years ago when it was dry, cold and firm.
At yesterday's press conference, Kim Smith of Providence said that she was in the best shape of her life.
Coverage will begin shortly before 11AM for the women, Tune in.

Partly Cloudy Skies, 44 degrees out at the starting line of the NCAA DI Championships.

They are just about to start. With light rain this morning, the course is still wet, and muddy in spots.

Runners doing some final strides with 5 minutes to the start. Official race time is 10:55am. Injured on the sidelies, Sarah Bei will not running today for Stanford Mary Cullen running for Providence, although injured, will compete.

Kim smith of providence is out in the lead. Renee Metivier is in second. Kim Smith already has a 3 second lead. There is a pack a second pack there is a pack lead by Cack Ferrell and Alicia Craig.

Kim Smith has increased her early lead to 8 seconds as the race heads downhill.

Smith hit the first K in 2:59. Matevier hits it in 3:04. Alicia Craig is in fourth.

For a cross country meet in Indiana this time of year, its pretty warm. Coming back thru the start, area, the runners see a 1k flat stretch.
